Something I put together for our editor. Though I need some better scans for some of the panels but I need to be back in Bournemouth for that so you'll have to make do with some old panels. There are some new thumbnails for the layouts but I wont bother adding them to the storyboard. The shots are the same. See u all soon...
Oh yeah. Scene number 34 of this version... The actual choreography of this shot is still a bit uncertain. Originally the shot was based on the scene in Kung Fu Love where two people we punching each other through a table. But it'll probably be more appealing if theres some variety in there. So this might be something to think about. I guess when we get together we can do some live action referance filming too. In the meantime, Ive been looking around for some close quarter combats for scene34 and this is the best I can find:

Nice work with the new storyboard!
I have been thinking about the fighting scene on top of the roof.
These are two young people flirting with each other, punches and other striking moves could look too violent. This could get your idea across better, how about the boy rather than punching or kicking her tries to grab her. I.e he tries a straight forward arms extended grab on her, she steps to side and punches is arms away causing him to spin, she rolls over his back on her back then nudges him away playfully with her foot. I think the playfulness of the lynx advert you showed us would work best for this film like you showed us before rather than them trying to get a hit on one another. What do you think? Then we could make the bits on the roof more fun and interesting, with use of props etc.
what do you think guys?
Something along those lines. I think its best to try avoid adding more shots though, cause it can affect the later scenes. This is kinda like the showdown, all the flirting and motivations are established at this point. So we probably dont have to set it up again.
Main thing is to come up with some more interesting movements than the one at the moment :P
Oh yes, there's no need for any more angles or camera work, it's just rather an alternate to kicking and punching on the showdown scene, the other scenes work great as they are. We can play around with the movements and what they do when we get back We could get someone who does style of kung fu to do performance for us while we draw him, then from that come up with something.
Aha! Sure thing. Btw, youre well trained in martial arts, you could be the model..... again :P
Lol again, yeah but with clothes on! I'm not well trained hehehe I only know a handful of techniques and can jump a bit. We sould get someone in who knows a good amount. Huw's teacher does wing chun gung fu so I could ask hi if he could get his teacher down for us to study, if not there will be some classes around that we could ask to go into and draw while they practise.
Erm... 50 and 51 are wrongly labeled! The shot where the master hands over the mop to the girl is 50. And the last shot where the two o back inside is 51, including the door slamming.
