Cor, that poster looks like some thing pretty special, and to think its done by a 1st year..... WOW!!
It reminds me of the udon Street fighter comics.
Well done team.
Hopefully i'll be at the alumni so i'll get to see all your scrummy work then. cant wait!!
So, has any one got any jobs lined up yet?
Im still recovering from my battle with the lion, but am hoping to up and about soon! I may possibly be going back to Aardman, but not too sure yet.
Ben, Have you been in touch with Lionhead?
You must take your film to Annecy with you and show it off!!
Get industry types to see it and hopefully they'll scoop you up straight away!! Hee hee, whilst your there ben, fancy wearing a favelados tshirt.... u know for old time sake... and a little bit more advertising... for that the film has left? hee hee!!
Awesome work folks!!
All the best to you!!

Cheers TC! The alumni gathering will be great! I applied to a two places so far. Theyre quite busy apparently so I havent heard from them yet. I spoke to the guys at Lionhead but they were not looking for concept artists at the moment.
Hoope youre recovering well from your injury. Seriously, you are a trooper!
The plan is to come along to Annecy and the MIFA stuff to make a few contacts. I guess I'll have to get up early in the morning for those. Do you have to get a ticket for the interviews like you would a film from the festival? Do you also know where abouts they will be located? I tried finding the place last year but didnt know where it was.
I was thinking of bringing the Favelados shirt with me, but I left it at my house in Manchester!!!! *sigh* Do you know if Laurent going to Annecy?
Looking forward to seeing you again.
Get well soon! All the best from the Kung Fu Romance team :D

No Worries Mr Ben!!!
Got my fingers crossed for you on the job front.
Let me know how you get on.
As for getting in on the interrviews.... Yes you need a ticket, but you can only get them on he day, and its always first come, first serve.
I always make sure i get there really early. the ticket office doesnt open until 9am, and its always a mad dash to the front of the que as there are only limited numbers of tickets.
You will find, interviews with the big companies, like Disney, Pixar etc are always packed!!!!
Do you know where the mifa building is? Its the posh looking hotel! the big palace place!! just got to the reception there and you will have to wait outside until the doors open..... and then thats when the madness begins!! huge scramble for tickets.
When you get your ticket, you show them your pass. in exchange, they will give you a ticket and register your name for an interview with who ever you have lined up to se (disney whatever...)
HOpe this kinda makes sense.
Iv always been maybe a bit too keen to be the first in line, and have found myself queing on my own from like 7am, to make sure i get a ticket.
When you get a ticket, you go to the event later on. you are registered to have an interview with the big shots. You will usually find that as its so busy, you will only have a few minutes to shine and show yourself off.
They dont always have a tv with them, so if you wanna show your animation, its best to have either an ipod, or laptop ready charged and ready to show them straight away.
Be warned, they are lots of people, especially students all wanting the same job. when ever you open your portfolio or turn on a laptop, you will find that every one wants to watch and stare!!

Ok, i think thats every thing..... Let me know if you got any other questions.
unfortunatly, Laurent wont be going to Annecy either. He is busy at work, still chugging along on the illusionist and is trying to save his money.
He will hopfully be going to the alumni tho, if he can get the time off work.
If i havent got a job by then, i'd liken us to spend a week down in bournemouthleading up to the alumni, to properly catch up with people and have a little holiday.
Wait and see, i'd also like to think i'll be back to work by then, so..... watch this space.

Any who, hope iv been a little help!!
All the best,
